As London's first luxury hotel, it has hosted celebrities like Winston Churchill and Frank Sinatra, offering a glimpse into glamorous history. Guests who stay at this iconic hotel, are supported by a team of 28 butlers.

The Savoy’s Little Royals program is designed to make younger guests feel special, offering a range of activities and services to keep them entertained. Hotel 2. Claridge's, Mayfair

Claridge's is another London institution with its 1854 heritage, Art Deco elegance, a stunning lobby, a century old manual elevator and bespoke service. It defines greatness through discreet, personalised attention, high-profile clientele, Michelin-level dining, and meticulously designed suites. The 400 staff members are famously trained to anticipate needs before they are voiced, with high attention to detail.

Everything at Claridge's has been well thought-out, with family comfort in mind. Children are welcomed with a sweet travel satchel filled with games, activity book, and a miniature Claridge’s umbrella, and the hotel provides child-sized bathrobes, books, games, as well as arrange for baby items like monitors and bottle sterilizers. For teens, there is an option for in-room video game consoles. The staff is renowned for being accommodating and friendly towards children, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere. Little ones are welcomed with a sweet travel satchel filled with games and a miniature Claridge’s umbrella and can choose which magazines they’d like to arrive with their parents’ morning papers. Cookies and warm milk appear with turndown service and (a real highlight) in-room spa treatments can be organized for those unable to leave their children

Located in Mayfair, the hotel is within easy walking distance of Hyde Park (for outdoor activities) and many of London's main attractions. Even the unpredictability of London's weather can't get you down here. For when it pours, you can step into the foyer for their famous Afternoon Tea service.

Hotel 3. Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park

At Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, families are welcomed with a level of care that makes even the most seasoned travellers feel instantly at ease. When staying at the Mandarin, you don't need to bring many of the essentials you'd normally carry. From the moment guests enter their room, it’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully prepared in advance.

For those travelling with babies, practical items such as changing mats, nappy bins, bottle warmers, and bouncers are all in place before arrival, helping to ease both packing and daily routines. Beyond the practicalities, the hotel excels in creating memorable experiences for younger guests. A carefully curated selection of toys, including London-themed teddy bears and books, keeps children entertained throughout their stay. My personal favourite is the in-room nursery, part of their Very Little Ranger Stay, which is ideal for families with babies. Hotel 7: Rosewood London

Home to my personal favourite Scarfes Bar, Rosewood London, located in the vibrant Holborn district, offers a luxurious and family-friendly stay in the heart of the city. Set in a 1914 listed Edwardian building, the hotel features meticulously restored architecture, including the famous $65 million, seven-storey Pavonazzo marble staircase. Not that we recommend climbing all seven storeys, but doing so is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to their signature British Rose Body Massage at Sense, their renowned spa.

Rosewood is recognised for its personalised service, which extends beyond adults to younger guests too. Rooms are often equipped with child-size robes, slippers, and specialized toiletries. The hotel’s Rose Buds program is designed to cater to the needs of younger guests, offering a range of activities and services to keep them entertained. Hotel 10: The Goring

This Belgravia hotel is proudly family-owned, but sadly, one of the last luxury hotels in London to retain that distinction. The Goring has a warm, welcoming charm, reminiscent of a kindly and slightly eccentric grandfather.

Young guests are greeted with a soft Baaa-bara Sheep toy and invited to explore a dress-up box, adding a playful touch to their stay. Once dressed in regal costumes, children can settle into the Library, where a selection of British classics and stories create the perfect setting for bedtime reading. Activities range from baking chocolate cookies with the chef to receiving personalised recommendations from the concierge, ensuring there is always something to enjoy. Firstly, plan your itinerary with a mix of activities that cater to both adults and children.
