I am a very honest and reliable person who truly loves children. I have worked with every age, gender and personality. Combined with my own personal experience of raising two children I have become very knowledgable of reading a child’s personality and needs. Children need to trust someone in order to feel safe and happy. I generally feel I can gain their trust quite quickly due to my level of experience and warm personality.

Education: 1994 - 1999 Apprenticeship for professional educator, working in Nurseries,Speech Therapy Nurseries, working with school children and disabled adults alongside studying in the Academy of Social Pedagogy in Hof, Germany
Employment: September 2024 - December 2025 Nanny-Tutor and Domestic Help, part time. Taking care of two young boys, aged 9 and 11. Some of the duties involved picking up from school, doing homework with them, taking them to appointments and activities, cooking and taking care of general business. October 2025 - December 2025, continue working as a babysitter up until now. I worked two mornings per week in this temporary position, the baby boy was 12 month old at the time. Duties were making his bottle, feeding him both milk and solids, playing with him, encouraging him to crawl and speak, going out to the playground, changing nappies and putting him to bed.

Birgit was our after-school nanny for our 2 boys. She would pick up the children from school, take them to after-school activities, bring them home, help them with homework, cook for them and do some tidying up and light house-work. She was very organised. She would bring games to play, books to read with them, and engaged them in different ways. She is a gem - always on time and well-prepared. She was very observant and would take her carer role very seriously. She was pro-active, would even have her own recipes, would be on top of what's good for them, and how to keep them safe. She is very clear and direct in her communication, which I quite liked. She is brilliant and I can highly recommend her.

Birgit was referred to us by another sitter for when we needed someone regularly for our one-year old. First of all she is very responsible. She is never late, and has lots of experience. Her approach towards kids is phenomenal and our son loves her. There is a real bond between him and her. She knows how to speak to him and brings different activities to do with him and knows how to entertain him. She is also very trustworthy. I can tell because when she is around, I never worry and feel very calm. So these three things - experience, responsibility and very good approach - are what make her so great. She goes out of her way, above and beyond what is expected. Every time we need a sitter, we still call on Birgit. I definitely recommend her. 100%!
